Sunday Mornings Vol.2

Good Morning! It's been a while since the last post I really need to work on self-discipline when it comes to getting out these posts every week. Anyway, my week has been really good creatively. I read the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert last weekend and it really was life-changing. I've always admired art. Art in forms of writing, photography, music, journaling, paintings, ceramics and so much more. They've always interested me. I would try some of these forms of art but I never really got really into it and when I read Big Magic I realized why. It's because I'm scared and I realize I don't have to have my life revolve around just art if I want to do it. I can still pursue having a day job and having a creative career at the same time. I love to write even when I was becoming ill I would spend time in Arkansas journaling. I would write and draw whatever came to my mind. I still have those journals and it's interesting to me to look back at what I was thinking and imagining in my head. I still journal my thoughts but now I sometimes write those deepest thoughts like the symptoms I'm experiencing. I was introduced to adult coloring during therapy because it's supposed to help with relaxing and it helps with anxiety when I just need to do something with my hands and then I became introduced to painting: acrylics and watercolors. Then I tried bullet journaling and I love it and I was watching some YouTube videos about bullet journals and one of the YouTuber's had a watercolor with me video and that led me to think would there be other videos that were just Paint With Me and sure enough there was. Which led me to learn more about the art world and what the possibilities are. Of course I'm on a really tight budget so I have to be responsible with my money and I can't get everything I've been interested in this week all at once but I thought it would be neat if I shared some of the stuff that I've been learning from and enjoying so I hope you like and get some inspiration from it too!

I've been loving watching videos from Jacquelin Deleon she's an amazing artist and she's inspired a project idea for me to do I like that she included a playlist for her comic Sirencs on Spotify. Which inspired me to make a playlist for any projects that I do just so I can get into the right headspace for it. Which leds to me what music I'm listening to right now, Paramore. I've been liking their new album.

and I've visited their website and was pleased to have found out that they have cassettes and vinyl records of the album. Which led to me wanting to buy a cassette player too!I was working on my artwork while listening to my vinyl records and I thought it would be cool if I added a cassette player to that little ritual. I was also liking the idea of getting some art supplies too like col erase pencils, more canvases, paintbrushes, and etc. I also checked out forever 21 and these are my top 3 favorites:

I also have been inspired by Jim Reno she does incredible videos.

Also fall out boy came out with an album and my favorite track has to be church

So yeah that's what I've been liking this week I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday/Saturday night since I'm posting this one a little bit earlier.
Lots of Love

  1. Another great place to look for vinyl are garage sales, estate sales, and swap meets. Turntable.guide The final benefit you may not be aware of is that you can enjoy a good return on your investment when it comes to vinyls.
