I bought these headphones for a dollar at my local Dollar Tree and I thought they were so adorable. I've been using these to listen to music and they are pretty good for just a dollar. Here are some of my favorite songs of the month in a Spotify playlist:
Spiritual
For a little over a month now I've been attending a local Untied Pentecostal Church. I was introduced to this religion by my Aunt and Uncle who live in Arkansas. I attended church with them while I stayed with them and I was baptized before I left. Since my move into my first apartment I contemplated attending the church that was here. When I was living with my parents there weren't any United Pentecostal Churches close by. So I did and I love it I meant and created friendships with some really good brothers and sisters. I would usually hang out with one of the sisters' family and would hang out at their store and kept eyeing this beautiful pink Bible cover. I final decided to buy and it is my first Bible cover which I think makes it my favorite Bible cover.
It has the verse Psalm 96:13 on it which states "let all creation rejoice before the Lord..." and a pink flower. I feel like this verse is ultimately true.I also bought a journal from the Dollar Tree.
I think its cute I use it to write down notes about the sermon I'm listening to.
Books
I made a goal to read at least 30 minutes this week and I feel like I've been accomplishing it minus the one day I forgot to do it. One of the books I can't put down made it to my favorites this month. I bought it for a dollar at the Dollar Tree which I think is a steal because it retails for twenty seven dollars. It's called Revolution of Hope: The Life, Faith and Dreams of a Mexican President by Vicente Fox and Rob Allyn.
I love it so much because there's so much I didn't know. Vicente Fox is the former President of Mexico and I love reading this book because it gives me so much insight on my culture. Both my parents are Mexican but my mom was born in Ohio and my dad is from Mexico. Growing up there was so much I didn't understand about my dad but I feel like this books helps me to understand him more because it talks about machismo and the history of Mexico culturally. I have so much respect for this book and I'll probably write a book review about it when I finish reading it.
Cleaning Supplies
I know I actually have a cleaning supply favorite but I can't help it that I like to clean.I like it when my apartment smells girly and when I went shopping I thought this product would help in that sense.
It's a Carpet and Room Deodorizer and it smells like flower petals. I bought it at the Dollar Tree of course and I use it every time just before I vacum and it leaves my apartment smelling wonderful and I love it. It makes me feel very happy and satisfied.
